I nostri capi sono per lo più unisex per far sentire i nostri clienti liberi di indossarli a loro modo!  WHO IS BEHIND MELLOWAVES?

Hello, I'm Ca, 31 years old, for years I worked in the fashion industry, immersed in the frenzy of fashion shows, events, and photo shoots. I loved my job, but something inside me yearned for a change. It wasn't just a desire to switch things up; it was a deep need to connect with my values and my passion for the outdoors. So, with my life partner, adventure companion, and first mellow supporter I decided to leave it all behind. With my savings and a clear vision in mind, I embarked on a new project: Mellowaves.

Mellowaves was a dive into the unknown, a bold idea, a bet that few would have considered, but at that moment, it was the challenge I felt compelled to undertake.

It was not an easy process, filled with doubts, fears, and moments of discouragement, but it's been the most adventurous and exhilarating journey I've ever taken! Often, I found myself navigating uncharted waters, facing obstacles and challenges I had never encountered before. I started from scratch, but with determination, I fully immersed myself in the process, working day and night on creativity, programming, research, and development. After much searching, I found Mellowaves' production lab, a small company in northern Italy made up of an all-female team, who supported me every step of the way in creating each Mellowaves product.

In 2019, I launched the first product, the mellow poncho, and from the first months, it began to attract attention. Customers started coming from Italy, then expanded into Europe, and thus, the Mellowaves community began to form – my greatest satisfaction. Day by day, I received thanks and photos from customers with their ponchos and their adventures. This was the driving force behind it all.

Every day is a new challenge, I can't deny it, but these satisfactions restore the strenght and determination that are sometimes overwhelmed by thoughts. I often find myself taking on roles I had never undertaken before; every day I could be a marketing manager in the morning and a warehouse manager in the afternoon, or a designer, then switching to web design or accounting and customer service. But I can say I'm never bored :)

One of the greatest satisfactions? During a trip to Fuerteventura, I saw a random girl wearing one of my ponchos, and the feeling was incredible :) and today, when it happens again, my heart is always racing.

Thanks to Mellowaves, I've met people and creators whom I now consider my family. It has allowed me to forge strong and authentic bonds that have evolved from simple collaborations into friendships with whom to share emotions and adventures.

For a long time, I decided not to share my story, partly out of shyness and partly out of privacy, but in the end, I decided to share it. Perhaps it will be helpful for others to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams. Sometimes, the boldest gambles can turn into reality. Or simply, a big thank you to all the loyal customers for helping build this fantastic reality :)

CHI C'E' DIETRO A MELLOWAVES?

Ciao, sono Ca, ho 31 anni e per anni ho lavorato nel mondo della moda, immersa nella frenesia delle sfilate, eventi e shooting. Mi piaceva il mio lavoro, ma qualcosa dentro di me gridava per un cambiamento. Non era solo il desiderio di cambiare, ma il bisogno profondo di connettermi con i miei valori e con la mia passione per il mondo outdoor. Così, dopo molte riflessioni e tanto coraggio, ho deciso di lasciare tutto alle spalle. Con i miei risparmi e una visione chiara nella mente, mi sono buttata in un nuovo progetto: Mellowaves. 

Mellowaves era un tuffo nel vuoto, un'idea audace, una scommessa che pochi avrebbero considerato avendo un lavoro solido, ma in quel momento era la sfida che mi sentivo di intraprendere. 

E' stato un processo non facile, pieno di dubbi, paure e momenti di sconforto, ma è il viaggio più avventuroso e adrenalinico che abbia mai fatto! Spesso mi sono ritrovata a navigare in acque sconosciute, affrontando ostacoli e sfide che non avevo mai incontrato.  

Sono partita da zero, ma con determinazione, mi sono immersa completamente nel processo, lavorando giorno e notte alla creatività, programmazione e ricerca e sviluppo, e dopo svariate ricerche ho trovato il laboratorio di produzione di Mellowaves, una piccola azienda del nord Italia formata da un team di sole donne, che con tutto il loro supporto mi ha aiutato a creare ogni prodotto Mellowaves. 

Nel 2019 lanciai un solo prodotto, il mellow poncho e già dai primi mesi, iniziò ad attirare l'attenzione, i clienti cominciarono ad arrivare dall'Italia per poi espandersi in Europa e iniziò così a formarsi la mellow community, la mia soddisfazione più grande. Di giorno in giorno ricevevo ringraziamenti e foto dai clienti con i loro poncho e le loro avventure. Questo è stato il motore di tutto.

Ogni giorno è una nuova sfida, non posso nasconderlo, ma queste soddisfazioni ripristinano la voglia e la determinazione che a volte vengono sopraffatte dai pensieri.

Mi capita spesso di ricoprire ruoli che non avevo mai intrapreso, ogni giorno può capitare di essere marketing manager la mattina e nel pomeriggio addetto al magazzino, o designer, o dedicarsi al controllo qualità, per poi passare al web design o alla contabilità e costumer service, ma posso dire di non annoiarmi mai!

Una delle soddisfazioni più grandi? Durante un viaggio a Fuerteventura vidi una ragazza sconosciuta indossare un mio poncho, la sensazione è stata incredibile :) e oggi quando ricapita il cuore è sempre a mille.

Grazie a Mellowaves ho conosciuto persone, clienti e creators che ad oggi posso chiamare la mia famiglia. Mi ha permesso di creare legami forti e autentici che da semplici collaborazioni sono diventate amicizie con cui condividere emozioni e avventure.

Per molto tempo ho deciso di non raccontare di me, un po' per timidezza e un po' per riservatezza ma alla fine ho deciso di condividere la mia storia, forse sarà utile ad altri a credere in se stessi e ad inseguire i propri sogni, a volte le scommesse più audaci possono trasformarsi in realtà. Oppure semplicemente per tutti i clienti affezionati un grande grazie per aver contribuito a costruire questa fantastica realtà :)
